Rate Optimization
With UFMS you can access all of your carriers. We will confidentially load every one of your
companyís negotiated discount rates on our rate-shopping engine. The engine is programmed
during installation to source the entire list of possible carriers for the least cost
service, and includes special services such as COD, hazardous material, heat etc. It is also
programmed to identify exceptions based upon customer instructions. Occasionally used,
non-rated carriers can also be setup within UFMS to give you a complete picture of your
shipping profile.
Shipment Consolidation
UFMS automatically consolidates and rates individual orders headed to the same destination,
maximizing the weight shipped and minimizing the transportation costs.
Automated Documents
You will never have to hand-write shipping documents again. The UFMS software automatically
prints carrier compliant rated and non-rated shipping labels, waybills, manifests, carrier
pickup summaries, hazardous material declaration forms, and customs invoices.
Streamline Shipment Processing
Host interfacing allows for the electronic exchange of information. By interfacing your
business system to download shipping information, a minimum number of keystrokes or barcode
scans is required to process a shipment. Custom shipping screens display only the
information you need to see and enter. Average processing time is between 2 and 10 seconds
depending on your operating environment. By utilizing UFMS interface/upload capabilities,
specially configured installations can eliminate the order confirmation process through your
host computer. UFMS also produces compliant EDI and ASN transmissions.
Streamline Invoicing & Payables & Eliminate Outside Freight Auditor
Services
Many companies are able to eliminate their external freight auditing services once they
implement our software. Since UFMS pre-rates all your shipments, your freight audit
functions can be reduced to the simple act of generating a report and voucher entry form.
The system gives you the ability to create carrier specific invoices for direct payment,
removing the need to record shipping information on a pick slip and keying it into the
accounting system for billing or payable purposes later. |
